Welcome to the VIB BioInformatics Training and Service facility website ! |
|
With the ongoing 'Omics revolutions', biological experiments are producing increasingly more digital data. Hit by the wave, researchers are turning to bioinformatics to take advantage of the exponentially growing computer power and extract biological knowledge from their experimental data.
To respond to the increasing importance of bioinformatics in biotechnology research the BITS service facility was set up at VIB. The goals of BITS are threefold: make available selected software products able to deal with lab-generated data, provide training in the use of these bioinformatics tools and of public databases, and provide bioinformatics data mining services to wet-lab scientists.
You can find more information about BITS data mining services here.
Check the latest Training News here. Have a look at the most wanted trainings by other VIB scientists at the bottom of this page!
