As of 1st of July, VIB BITS is offering the software SnapGene to make your daily molecular biology tasks easier.
You can do Restriction Cloning, Gateway Cloning, In-Fusion® Cloning, Gibson Assembly®, PCR & Mutagenesis design, and Agarose Gel Electrophoresis simulation.

We have 5 floating licenses for SnapGene and it is offered for free to all VIB scientists.

The BITS committee will organize a workshop on tools for meta data association of OMICS data.

It will take place at CompOMICS on February 5th from 9 AM to 5 PM.

The colleagues from ISA will present their tools in the morning session. In the afternoon, we will discuss on the potential for metadata tracking of OMICS data at VIB.
