In collaboration with the Flemisch Genome Consortium and BITS, a Nature Communications paper has been published in September 2014 by Columbia University on 'Sequencing an Ashkenazi reference panel supports population-targeted personal genomics and illuminates Jewish and European origins'.

BITS will participate at a round table day on Data Mining for Material Sciences which takes place on January 19th 2015.

It is organized by Flamac - a division of SIM, Ghent.

The BITS committee will organize a workshop on tools for meta data association of OMICS data.

It will take place at CompOMICS on February 5th from 9 AM to 5 PM.

The colleagues from ISA will present their tools in the morning session. In the afternoon, we will discuss on the potential for metadata tracking of OMICS data at VIB.
