Genevestigator added content (2017-06-22)

Published Date: June 22, 2017: GENEVESTIGATOR is an innovative online platform enabling researchers to globally explore public and proprietary expression data for research and clinical applications.

We just released exciting new functionalities and new content!

New Features

  • Expand your analysis to other organisms You can now easily translate a gene selection from one species to another. The new gene selection created contains the corresponding orthologs as mapped by OMA.
  • Compare results from one study with thousands of other studies It is now possible to export gene signatures from most tools in a mouse click. A signature consists of a list of genes together with the corresponding expression values. Signatures can be exported for any category (e.g. an anatomical part, a cell line, a cancer type or a perturbation) and directly opened in the Signature tool for comparison with curated public experiments or experimental conditions.

New Curated Data

86 new experiments (4,688 samples) have been curated and released for Human, Mouse and Rat. They cover mainly the following research areas:

  • Endocrinology and metabolism
  • Gastroenterology
  • Immunology and rheumatology
  • Infection and infectious diseases
  • Musculoskeletal system
  • Neurology
  • Oncology
  • Respiratory diseases
  • Toxicology
