New Features

Identify perturbations that regulate several genes on your list

Multiple genes can now be combined for sorting the perturbations in the Condition Search Tool. When selecting multiple genes, the perturbations are sorted by the sum of the pi-scores (Xiao Y. et al. Bioinformatics 2014) of all the genes in the selection.

Discover all studies containing any parameter of interest

Searching for data sets of interest using keywords is an easy way to identify studies that contain the parameters you are interested in. This feature has been optimized to allow extensive search options. All fields of annotated parameters are thoroughly searched and the matching field for the selected keywords will be displayed.

Use cell surface markers to search, filter, select and compare samples and studies Cell type and cell surface markers are now available as additioanl parameters, and can be searched and filtered as any other parameter. Using the differential expression tool, any two populations within a given experiment can be directly compared!

The search of experiments by keyword has been significantly improved. In the Data Selection dialogue, you can now search for single or combinations of keywords present in any type of experiment or sample description. In the resulting list of experiments, the matching field for the selected keywords is displayed.

New human cell line ontology - allows faster searches and better visualizations

All human cell lines have been restructured using commonly referenced cell line categories. Together with improved vocabularies of parental groups, the new cell line ontology allows faster searches and better visualizations of the cell lines in GENEVESTIGATOR.
