create biomarker lists with IPA

Published Date: July 16th, 2018: IPA¬© is a powerful web-based knowledge base system designed for biologists.

Ingenuity Pathway Analysis can be used to search for diseases or functions and create biomarker lists. Such lists are very useful to prepare validation experiments or to compare with your own lists of selected genes.

IPA does not allow creating lists larger than 5000 items which is easy to reach when the query is about a large function or disease.

This short tutorial will help you circumvent the IPA limit and create a list(s) of only proteins associated with a given annotation.
